Red-and-black Froghopper - Beeley Moor

One of our commoner bugs, and easy to identify, the Red-and-black Froghopper is encountered in a wide range of habitats.

  1. Are these poisonous? They seem to be marked like Cinnabar Moths. Is it a bluff or a warning?

  2. Can't say Rod but that seems to be a general defence mechanism in red and black bugs. Not inclined to try out the theory!
