Looking at the records on the National Biodiversity Network Gateway and reading the Moths of Derbyshire it looks like Ethmia quadrillella could be fairly well distributed in the limestone dales of the Peak District but is classified as very local nationally. The food plant is Common Comfrey, I caught this at home last night.
A smart micro Andy - along with the Netted Pug, which is a real beaut and both ones I have not seen.They'll inspire me to dig out set up my trap which I haven't done since moving at the beginning of May.
Yes, thanks Steve and this one is easy to identify. I do find identification of the micro moths very time consuming but the Micro Moth I'd guide has been a big help. There is still a lot to discover on the distribution of micro moths so every little helps - get the trap running! Andy
