James called in at the mill at Belper yesterday and took a few photos of the Peregrines. If they are successful this year there should be plenty of photo opportunities in the coming months. Access is much better than the local quarries although the mill building is not a great background!
hi everyone just an update on belper peregrines all 4 chicks are doing well and lets hope they all fledge succesfully in about 3 weeks time and i hope dwt will keep watch aswell
Hi I would like to give you an update on the Resident Belper East Mill Peregrines and their new family. All four juveniles thought to be one male and three female are all doing well all are adept in the air and are growing in their skills daily. We had a rocky start to fledging with three of the four being grounded but all had successful captures and were placed back on the mill.
It looks like the peregrine has spotted James in the top photo ... excellent.
ReplyDeleteYes, Charlie probably thinking about its next meal!

Thanks ian , four fledged is a great result. Lets hope that they make it through the rest of the year and that that they return next year.
